You build a draft on nights like this. Bryce Lance had no business being available in No. 120, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Moore lower, and that gap is the story. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The dealing was even money, start to finish.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
A reach for Derrick Moore in the Round 2 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Daylen Everette in the 86th overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Bryce Lance in the 120th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They paid sticker price for Ar'maj Reed-Adams in pick 173, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Dallen Bentley in slot 201 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kaelon Black at No. 211 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
TJ Hall at Round 7, Pick 20 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 255 with a little surplus value in Alan Herron. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
