Nobody else had Bryce Foster anywhere near No. 201. The Packers did, by 47 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The final tally is a middling C+.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Everette pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Caleb Tiernan at slot 53, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They talked themselves into Brian Parker II at pick 69, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Taking Daylen Everette in pick No. 99 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They liked DeMonte Capehart enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 4, Pick 20. It fills a real need, too.
A tidy bit of business in the 121st pick, where Davison Igbinosun graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
