The Packers put a flag in the ground for Riley Mahlman, 43 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Davis at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
