The Packers torched the value chart for Bryce Foster, taking him 46 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.
The Golday pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
If D'Angelo Ponds and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
D'Angelo Ponds slid further than he should have, and pick 59 is lovely value for the cornerback. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jake Golday in pick No. 84 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Keylan Rutledge at slot 88 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Daylen Everette in Round 4, Pick 6 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A straight-up fair deal on DeMonte Capehart at the 124th pick, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
