Call it larceny. Myles Jones sat on the board until slot 242, and the Dolphins did not need to be asked twice. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Powers-Johnson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 31st pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, a steep price for the projection.
They paid sticker price for T'Vondre Sweat in pick 53, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Johnny Wilson in No. 75 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Dominick Puni in the 110th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nothing to complain about; Braelon Allen went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Joe Milton III at slot 171 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the quarterback. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They liked Christian Jones enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 6 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach for Kenny Logan Jr. in Round 6, Pick 24; a little patience would have been rewarded. A minor itch, scratched.
They robbed the room for Myles Jones here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
