Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jaylan Ford at slot 124 is 53 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
A reach for Kingsley Suamataia in the 36th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Graham Barton in pick 56 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Brenden Rice in No. 67 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
