Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers turned the phones into found money: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Chargers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Wright reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Amarius Mims · OT · rank 22
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a blindside protector, reach and all. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · T.J. Tampa · CB · rank 39
T.J. Tampa in pick No. 37 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.5 · Pick 69 · Brenden Rice · WR · rank 69
Brenden Rice at pick 69 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R4.5 · Pick 105 · Ray Davis · RB · rank 109
They took Ray Davis at par in the 105th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.6 · Pick 142 · Jaylen Wright · RB · rank 158
They went early on Jaylen Wright in the Round 5 slot, and the value did not follow. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R6.8 · Pick 183 · Jaylan Ford · LB · rank 177
A tidy little value on Jaylan Ford in No. 183, a step better than break-even. It adds depth where they could use a little.
