Getting Mims where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Amarius Mims at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They reached a country mile for Khyree Jackson at No. 87, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Value said wait; Braelon Allen in the 124th overall pick says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaylan Ford at pick No. 174 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
