They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Murphy reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
In pick 27 they get a No. 1 receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Troy Franklin at slot 34. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
