The Eagles looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Austin Stogner at No. 158 regardless, 41 picks early. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Hart. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, with JC Latham leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.1 · Pick 33 · JC Latham · OT · rank 18
A slide stopped in the 33rd pick, with JC Latham worth more than the price. It fills a real need, too.
R2.21 · Pick 53 · Kalen King · CB · rank 41
They let Kalen King come to them and pounced at slot 53. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.1 · Pick 65 · Patrick Paul · OT · rank 48
Patrick Paul at No. 65 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.34 · Pick 97 · Johnny Wilson · WR · rank 75
Circle this one: Johnny Wilson at the 97th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.1 · Pick 137 · Cole Bishop · S · rank 129
Cole Bishop is a better player than pick No. 137 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.5 · Pick 141 · Isaiah Adams · OT · rank 126
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Isaiah Adams at pick 141. The roster fit checks out.
R5.22 · Pick 158 · Austin Stogner · TE · rank 199
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Austin Stogner. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.27 · Pick 163 · Will Shipley · RB · rank 133
Somehow Will Shipley was still sitting there in pick 163, and they pounced on premier running back value. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Cam Hart · CB · rank 137
A cornerback of that caliber at No. 172 is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.3 · Pick 178 · Braelon Allen · RB · rank 155
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Braelon Allen in the 178th overall pick, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R7.23 · Pick 243 · Zakhari Franklin · WR · rank 229
Zakhari Franklin in pick No. 243 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
