The Eagles' one glaring miss is interior defensive lineman, a need they left exactly as they found it.
The Milton III steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Bullard has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Edgerrin Cooper at Round 2, Pick 18 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Javon Bullard at the 54th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Zak Zinter in No. 97 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Javon Foster in the 137th overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nice patience on Braelon Allen, who had no business lasting to pick 163. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Zion Tupuola-Fetui at slot 172 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Joe Milton III in pick No. 178 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A slide stopped in No. 243, with Zakhari Franklin worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
