There is reaching, and then there is Isaac Guerendo at the 251st overall pick. The Packers jumped the board by 44 and dared it to prove them wrong. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Jackson steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a building block for the line at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 41 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
By-the-book stuff, T'Vondre Sweat at pick No. 58 squarely in line with his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 28: Mike Sainristil for less than the market said. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
