Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Jordan Magee, the No. 213 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 243.
McGlothern has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Spending an early pick on safety with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

In pick 25 they get a potential shutdown corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.9
· Pick 41
· Kamren Kinchens

A clean, defensible pick in the Round 2 slot with a little surplus value in Kamren Kinchens. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R2.25
· Pick 57
· Graham Barton
· OT

Graham Barton at the 57th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.25
· Pick 88
· Audric Estime
· RB

They paid a round early for Audric Estime in pick No. 88, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.28

The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending slot 91 on Tykee Smith with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots unsolved.
R4.32
· Pick 132
· Cedric Gray
· LB
· rank 136
They took Cedric Gray at par in No. 132, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R5.32
· Pick 168
· Keith Randolph Jr.
· DL-EDGE
· rank 158
Value with a capital V on Keith Randolph Jr. in Round 5, Pick 32, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.28
· Pick 203
· Rasheen Ali
· RB

They paid sticker price for Rasheen Ali in the 203rd overall pick, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.39

· Tanor Bortolini
· C
· rank 226
They paid up for Tanor Bortolini at the 214th pick when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
R6.41
· Pick 216
· Marcellas Dial
· CB
· rank 194
The board fumbled Marcellas Dial all the way to pick No. 216, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R7.23
· Pick 243
· Jordan Magee
· LB
· rank 213
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jordan Magee in the 243rd overall pick, plain and simple. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
R7.31
· Pick 251
· Dwight McGlothern
· CB
· rank 280
Dwight McGlothern at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
