Washington Commanders
The Commanders checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

· 1 steals
· 1 reaches
The one they had to fix is still broken. The Commanders left cornerback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
However the rest shakes out, Lachey at that price is a win they earned. They will need Brown to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
Jack Sawyer at slot 29 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 2 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jayden Higgins in Round 3, Pick 15 lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach for Logan Brown in pick 148; a little patience would have been rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A slide stopped in the 207th pick, with Luke Lachey worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaishawn Barham at the 238th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A minor itch, scratched.
No edge and no loss on Hunter Wohler in pick No. 250; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
