You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Taulia Tagovailoa in pick 255.

It is not that Bishop is a bad player; it is that the Packers had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
