The Eagles' one glaring miss is wide receiver, a need they left exactly as they found it.
Jefferson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Getting Turner where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Dallas Turner slipping to Round 1, Pick 22 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid sticker price for Edgerrin Cooper in the 50th overall pick, and that is fine. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
No edge and no loss on DJ James in pick 53; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Isaac Guerendo at pick No. 120 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A need, and now a little less of one.
Tykee Smith at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
