B
New England Patriots
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Patriots.

· 8 picks
· 1 steals
· 2 reaches
There is a lot to like until you notice interior defensive lineman is still a hole. The Patriots never got to the one that mattered most.
The Tupuola-Fetui steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The McLachlan reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 3 they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Bo Nix at Round 2, Pick 2 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
A tidy little value on Kiran Amegadjie in pick No. 68, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Good price on Roger Rosengarten in the 103rd overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
Dwight McGlothern in the 178th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A reach on Jha'Quan Jackson in pick 180; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Tanner McLachlan in the Round 6 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Zion Tupuola-Fetui in slot 231 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
