Call it larceny. Dillon Gabriel sat on the board until the 153rd overall pick, and the Cardinals did not need to be asked twice.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Stutsman has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Aireontae Ersery in the 47th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They liked Danny Stutsman enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 3, Pick 14. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Luke Kandra. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Dillon Gabriel in the 153rd pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
