The Commanders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Quinshon Judkins, the No. 69 name on the board, in No. 146. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The Johnson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 29 they get a three-down second-level presence, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
A real head-scratcher, Tez Johnson in the 79th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A running back of that caliber at the Round 5 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They will replay Robert Spears-Jennings at pick 203 for years; that is how good the value is. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Logan Parr at Round 7, Pick 20 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No drama and no debate, Shilo Sanders went about where he belonged in slot 247. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
