Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Ollie Gordon II got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at the 243rd pick. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting Gray proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

In No. 25 they get a blindside protector. A real need, handled.
Nice patience on Tre Harris, who had no business lasting to the Round 2 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
