Call it larceny. Ja'Kobi Lane sat on the board until the 127th pick, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Bisontis to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 27 they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A reach on Chase Bisontis in slot 58; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They will replay Ja'Kobi Lane at the 127th pick for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Will Lee III at Round 4, Pick 33 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Fair-plus on Oscar Delp, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Harold Perkins Jr. in No. 139 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
