Nobody had Vincent Anthony Jr. this high, and it is not close. The Ravens reached 56 spots to get him at the Round 5 slot. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The Wetjen pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th pick they get a building block for the line, reach and all. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Romello Height in slot 45 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Deion Burks at the 80th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Keylan Rutledge at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Zxavian Harris went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 14. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Demond Claiborne in pick 162 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Aamil Wagner in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Vincent Anthony Jr. at pick No. 174 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
They took Toriano Pride Jr. at par in Round 6, Pick 30, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Somehow Kaden Wetjen was still sitting there in the 250th overall pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Bryce Foster in the 253rd pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
