When the story of this class is written, it opens with Caden Curry at the Round 3 slot, a reach of 37 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Anderson steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.31 · Pick 31 · KC Concepcion · WR · rank 25
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.31 · Pick 63 · Kamari Ramsey · S · rank 78
Kamari Ramsey in Round 2, Pick 31 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · Caden Curry · DE-EDGE · rank 132
Value said wait; Caden Curry in slot 95 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · J.C. Davis · OT · rank 140
A reach on J.C. Davis in the 125th overall pick; the board had better options right there. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.31 · Pick 131 · Mason Reiger · LB-EDGE · rank 148
Mason Reiger at the 131st pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.31 · Pick 171 · Marlin Klein · TE · rank 159
Marlin Klein in No. 171 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.10 · Pick 191 · Anez Cooper · OG · rank 183
The board had Anez Cooper higher than the Round 6 slot, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.17 · Pick 198 · Aaron Anderson · WR · rank 180
Aaron Anderson at pick 198 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R6.21 · Pick 202 · Pat Coogan · C · rank 204
They paid sticker price for Pat Coogan in slot 202, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R6.31 · Pick 212 · Le'Veon Moss · RB · rank 214
Le'Veon Moss in the 212th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
R7.31 · Pick 247 · TJ Hall · CB · rank 231
A tidy bit of business in Round 7, Pick 31, where TJ Hall graded well above the range. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
