You build a draft on nights like this. CJ Allen had no business being available in Round 4, Pick 25, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. The Allen pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with safety and running back still on the board.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
