The Bears spent real capital to be 43 picks early on Harold Perkins Jr., and the board is going to hold them to it. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Stukes.
On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 26 they get a run-stuffing presence up front, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A conviction pick on Keylan Rutledge at the 57th pick that the board grades a round light. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A.J. Haulcy is a better player than pick No. 60 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board had Treydan Stukes higher than slot 89, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
