Somebody in pick No. 243 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Eagles sat still while Jawhar Jordan, the No. 209 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The final tally is a middling C.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Trotter Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
