The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Cam Ward, the No. 7 name on the board, sitting there at slot 235 like a gift left on the doorstep. Just about everything broke right, and the A follows.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, with Emeka Egbuka leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
