Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Bud Clark got past him. The Falcons do not have to explain a thing at the 122nd overall pick. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Fisher proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

They let Chris Bell come to them and pounced at slot 48. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Keionte Scott at the 79th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Bud Clark in pick 122, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Aiden Fisher in No. 215 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Somehow Chase Roberts was still sitting there in the Round 7 slot, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
