For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Giants walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The Jamison-Travis pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Omar Cooper Jr. at the 37th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
No drama and no debate, Tacario Davis went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 5. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They read the board right and Eli Raridon was the payoff at No. 145. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They paid up for Jalen Stroman at pick No. 186 when waiting would have done the job. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They reached a country mile for Bobby Jamison-Travis at slot 192, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They did well to land J'Mari Taylor in the 193rd pick, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
