The Titans looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Nadame Tucker at the Round 5 slot regardless, 28 picks early.
For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Roush.
Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
David Bailey in slot 4 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Good price on Chris Johnson in the Round 2 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They went early on Elijah Sarratt in the 66th pick, and the value did not follow. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They read the board right and Sam Roush was the payoff at pick 101. It fills a real need, too.
Chris McClellan at the 142nd overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nadame Tucker at No. 144 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
No edge and no loss on Red Murdock in slot 184; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board had cheaper options than Dalton Johnson at pick No. 194, and it noticed. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They reached into another round for Isaiah Jatta, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
