They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop.

A clean, defensible pick in the 152nd overall pick with a little surplus value in Mason McCormick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Taking Curtis Jacobs in pick 222 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
