They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Vikings' quarterback, full stop.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for McCarthy left real value on the table behind him.
They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
