Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Giants, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The DeJean pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 16 they get a go-to option on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Circle this one: Cooper DeJean at the 47th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They barely believed it either: Malachi Corley still on the board at Round 3, Pick 6. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Taking DJ James in pick 113 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Spencer Rattler. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nothing to complain about; Jordan Magee went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
