The rest of the league will want that one back. Anthony Gould tumbling to the Giants in slot 183 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Dylan Parham deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
Rome Odunze at No. 13 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They barely believed it either: J.J. McCarthy still on the board at the Round 2 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They took Devontez Walker at par in pick No. 70, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Christian Mahogany at the 107th pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 5, Pick 12 with a little surplus value in Trevor Keegan. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kalen King at the 152nd overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Anthony Gould at pick 183 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A slide stopped in slot 222, with Logan Lee worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
