This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cam Skattebo, the No. 114 name on the board, stolen at pick 202. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Every board in the league had Jones Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 27 they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They barely believed it either: Jihaad Campbell still on the board at Round 2, Pick 28. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A tidy bit of business in pick 84, where Jalen Royals graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
