Somebody in slot 186 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Dolphins sat still while Kitan Oladapo, the No. 154 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
If Milton III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
The trade work was a quiet net positive. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the offensive line, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
They barely believed it either: Kool-Aid McKinstry still on the board at pick 55. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Worthy at pick No. 66, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Isaac Guerendo at the 158th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A reach on Joe Milton III in slot 184; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Kitan Oladapo at Round 6, Pick 11 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Steal is underselling it; Drake Nugent at No. 235 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Trey Knox in the 241st pick, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
