They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop.
On value alone, Dixon makes the weekend a net positive. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
They will need Kamara to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
In slot 27 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Tyler Guyton in the 30th pick, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No edge and no loss on Ja'Lynn Polk in the 67th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They reached a country mile for Mohamed Kamara at Round 4, Pick 13, and the board is aghast. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Value with a capital V on Nehemiah Pritchett in pick No. 152, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Somehow Johnny Dixon was still sitting there in No. 237, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Edefuan Ulofoshio at pick 238 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
