The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Sheridan Jones fell into slot 245. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They will answer for taking linebacker early while quarterback, running back and other spots went begging. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
The Eichenberg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 25 with a little surplus value in Troy Fautanu. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board had cheaper options than Kris Jenkins at the 41st overall pick, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Edgerrin Cooper in slot 58 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A minor need, but a need all the same.
No drama and no debate, Khyree Jackson went about where he belonged in the Round 3 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

A reach on Khristian Boyd in Round 5, Pick 33; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They liked Garret Greenfield enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 202. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They paid up for Tylan Grable at pick 219 when waiting would have done the job. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Sheridan Jones at the 245th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Trey Taylor at the Round 7 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
