Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. Quinshon Judkins, the No. 70 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 140. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside. A real need, handled.
They robbed the room for Tate Ratledge here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They will replay Quinshon Judkins at the 140th pick for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Circle this one: Kevin Winston Jr. at Round 5, Pick 24 is a fall that decides a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
