The Packers' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
They will need Jefferson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Ford pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a sticky cover corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tyler Guyton at the 41st pick. It fills a real need, too.
Payton Wilson in Round 2, Pick 26 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Calen Bullock in pick No. 88 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A clean, defensible pick in pick 91 with a little surplus value in Trey Benson. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Javon Foster in slot 126 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They liked Jordan Jefferson enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 5 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Drake Nugent in No. 202 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Value with a capital V on Jaylan Ford in the Round 6 slot, a genuine coup. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
By-the-book stuff, Josh Proctor at pick 245 squarely in line with his ranking. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
They did well to land Jalen Coker in slot 255, just ahead of his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
