The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Kingsley Suamataia, slot 88, roughly 31 picks past where he belonged. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The Proctor pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get an island corner, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tyler Nubin. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A slide stopped in the 58th overall pick, with Edgerrin Cooper worth more than the price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Steal is underselling it; Kingsley Suamataia at the 88th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Dominick Puni in slot 91 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Somehow Braelon Allen was still sitting there in No. 126, and they pounced on premier running back value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Isaiah Davis in pick No. 169 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
The board had cheaper options than Drake Nugent at pick 202, and it noticed. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They reached into another round for Josh Proctor, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
