Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bears never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
