Start where it matters. The Dolphins took Fernando Mendoza to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
Halton has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 1 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Gennings Dunker in pick No. 43, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kamari Ramsey in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Nothing to complain about; Dani Dennis-Sutton went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They reached into another round for Gracen Halton, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
