The Eagles clearly saw something nobody else did in Keylan Rutledge, taking him 46 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
If David Bailey and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 4th overall pick they get a double-digit-sack hope. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Dillon Thieneman at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A straight-up fair deal on Eli Stowers at slot 54, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Keylan Rutledge this early at the 68th pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Treydan Stukes at pick 98 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
