New York Giants

Good, not great, for the Giants: B-.

There is a lot to like until you notice interior defensive lineman is still a hole. The Giants never got to the one that mattered most. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Reaching for Louis left real value on the table behind him. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.9 · Pick 9 · Spencer Fano · OT · rank 9
No drama and no debate, Spencer Fano went about where he belonged in No. 9. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Denzel Boston · WR · rank 30
Nothing to complain about; Denzel Boston went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R3.10 · Pick 74 · Kyle Louis · LB · rank 85
They liked Kyle Louis enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 74. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
