For all the boxes ticked, the Ravens skipped the loudest one: cornerback is exactly as bare as it was.
Reaching for Tiernan left real value on the table behind him. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

In pick 17 they get juice off the edge. A clean fit for the roster.
Caleb Tiernan in the Round 2 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
