If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cardinals would have aced it. Kaden Prather at pick No. 72 is 163 spots clear of where he belonged. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
