Everything else got attention, and wide receiver got none. That is a strange way for the Jaguars to leave a draft. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They banked enough surplus on Klare to cover a lot of smaller sins. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Derrick Moore at par in pick No. 56, which is nothing to complain about. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Kamari Ramsey at No. 81 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Max Klare is a better player than the 88th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid sticker price for Brian Parker II in slot 100, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
