There is a lot to like until you notice cornerback is still a hole. The Lions never got to the one that mattered most.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
