The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On value alone, Oladapo makes the weekend a net positive.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In pick 23 they get a double-digit-sack hope. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Edgerrin Cooper in slot 50 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A minor itch, scratched.
Xavier Worthy in the 52nd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board had Braelon Allen higher than No. 120, and the running back fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Kitan Oladapo in Round 5, Pick 36, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They took Drake Nugent at par in the Round 6 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
